This course requires the student to take the Indiana End of Course (EOC) exam in May. The EOC replaces the Math portion of the ICAT. Local school districts will be administering the EOC for all students within their school zone. INVS does not offer the EOC.

Besides engaging students in challenging curriculum, INVS guides students to reflect on their learning and to evaluate their progress through a variety of assessments. Assessments can be in the form of self-checks, practice problems, multiple choice questions, essays, module activities, and discussion based assessments. At some point during the course, students will be required to complete one collaboration assignment per segment with another student. Multiple collaboration opportunities are offered throughout the course. Instructors evaluate progress and provide interventions through the variety of assessments built into the course, as well as through contact with the student in other venues.
